Ah that’s what it is!
I had made this series of photos while traveling on the freeway. They seemed to follow a theme, but I was never sure what…then I noticed the connection of the exterminator’s sign, the billowing stacks, and the flags. Boring as single works, suddenly taking on new meaning together.

yes it make senses, the story needed all the layers to be told. not so unlike your multiple exposures,  but in  more deliberate way.

darkly funny and serious together, Mark - even kind of nightmarish. nice work.

Funny how long I had this series of photographs and knew together they meant something to me...I was just not sure what

I lived in the LA area until 1981, and this is what we saw daily.

Robin drove home and I had intentions on making photos of these places.
I hope you and yours are well.
Despite what the "world" wants me to think, I can still hug my grandchildren, kiss them before they go to bed, and try to make our little world a place of light.

Thanks, Mark. We're good and feeling the same things about our grandchildren. The light is real.
